About Biofie and Registration process

Résumé have traditionally been considered to be the most important facet for the first level of recruiting. Job sites, recruiters, hiring managers, head hunters: all use resumes to screen prospects. However, with varied representation formats, lack of authenticity checks, and lifeless appearance, resumes have been losing significance.

The very fact that it is individual-driven leads to a non-standardized representation of facts. At times they highlight the non-essentials and ignore the more important aspects required for a specific job. The authenticity of the representations, along with the diversity in representation, makes it very difficult for the recruiters to screen and shortlist applicants.

Moreover, the lack of personal representation associated with traditional resumes makes it very difficult for the recruiter to make an effective shortlist, leading to high rate of rejections even after the first level of screening.

Recent studies have highlighted various concerns and flaws associated with traditional resumes: a recruiter on an average views a resume for only 6 to 10 seconds, 61% of recruiters dismiss a resume as they contains typing errors, and only about 17% of the recruiters ever read the cover letter associated with a resume.

The Biofie is an attempt to address all the above issues and provide a more effective representation of one’s profile by using the available technology at both online and offline front.

The personal profiles are captured online in standard digital formats and the submitted data is verified at physical locations, eliminating the ambiguity surrounding the traditional resumes. A video representation of individuals skills along with the personal interview and group exercise video conducted in a proctored environment are attached to the applicant’s profile, giving it the required PERSONALITY.

This video can be either a screen shot capture or camera recorded. It can either be recorded by another person or self. The skills video should capture your performance at work or your interest area and should be able to highlight your candidature for the applied job.

Group Exercise and Personal Interview

We provide candidates with option to choose location of their choice. This can be done on clicking the ‘Interview locations’ tab in the left panel of your home page under Personal Profile section. The candidate is provided with three choices for the Group Exercise and Personal Interview location. Candidates are allotted with one of the three locations for the process.

Within 45 days of payment of fee, you will be issued an 'Invite for Interview' at one of the preferred locations. All care will be taken to allot you the location which is marked the highest preference. Biofie.com reserves right to allot any of the three locations selected. The invite details can be viewed under the link 'GE / PI Schedule'.

The documents that you need to carry for the verification purpose is as under. The process of verification will be carried out at the GE/ PI venue only.

List of required documents:

  • You will need to bring at least one original and valid photo identification to the GD/PI venue. The name on your photo identification must match your name as entered during the registration process. Acceptable forms of photo identification are limited to Driver's license, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, College ID (supported with a valid ATM/credit/debit card with your name), Employee identification card, or a notarized Affidavit with Photo, Signature, Date of Birth and Residential Address. Photocopies of the original are not acceptable. Candidates will not be permitted to take the process if photo identification is not presented.
  • You should bring a printed copy of the GE / PI Invite with you to the venue.
  • Photocopies as well as originals of the following mark sheet relevant to you - (to be arranged in the below mentioned order) :
    1. SSC / SSLC / Matriculation /Sec. School.
    2. PUC / Intermediate / Hr. Sec. School.
    3. Bachelors Degree: I year, II year, III year, IV year, V year.
    4. Masters Degree: I year, II year.
    5. Post Graduation / Professional qualification.

  • Photocopies as well as original Certificates of extra-curricular activities, proof of employment record and proof of all courses undertaken, if any.
  • If you belong to SC/ST categories, please bring original and a photocopy of your caste certificate issued by a Deputy commissioner/District or Sub- Divisional Magistrate/ Tehsildar/ equivalent authority.
  • If you belong to Disabled category, as per the Person with Disabilities Act 1995, please bring the original and photocopy of the Disability Certificate issued by the appropriate medical authority.

You must arrive 30 minutes before the scheduled time for the verification process.Please note that you have to bear the travelling and other expenses for attending the interview.

Your are required to show the original mark sheets/certificates to the interview committee for verification and take them back on the spot.

Company / Employers who shortlist you for a job opening can view your complete details with personal identifiable records.

For every JOB POSTING made, the company/employer receives innumerable biofie profile matches. The Matching profiles are classified as per the percentage of parameters which match with the candidates profile as per the Job posting.

For each job Posting the Company Employer has a view of the following

  • List of Matching Candidates who match the job posting requirements along with their complete profile.
  • List of Applicants- people who have applied to the job.
  • List of Applications with Matching profile- this provides a list of applicants whose profile matches with the job posting.

The company / employer can perform the following actions on the responses generated for a JOB POSTING.

  • Shortlist.
  • Reject.
  • Marked for review (on-hold candidates- to be viewed later).

The first 15 biofie views available to the company/employer are FREE. For subsequent views, the company/employer needs to agree to the terms and conditions mentioned in the tariff plan

Candidate Search

A recruiter is given entire database access on biofie.com. Recruiters having an active job posting can search candidates on any of about 50 parameters.

Once you view a candidate profile, three options are being provided – 'Shortlist', 'Mark for Review' or 'Reject'. These options will be for a specific active job posting only.
  • Shortlist – Under shortlist option a candidate is informed about his selection and he is permitted to get in touch with the mentor for the second round selection process.
  • Mark for review option- is an option where the shortlist process is deferred for the current moment, but can be viewed on a later date for the desired action.
  • Reject- Under this option a company/ employer can mark the candidate as un-suitable for the current job posting.

The viewing of first 15 profiles is free of cost. After the first 15 profile views, the company / employer biofie wallet should have a minimum balance of 0.15% of (Average Salary Offered) to view additional profiles. To shortlist one candidate, the charge is 0.15% (Average Salary Offered). Average salary offered = ((Minimum Salary) + (Maximum Salary))/2.

No charges are deducted for viewing a profile. An amount equal to 0.15% of the Average salary offered is deducted only when a particular profile is shortlisted.


Campus Selection Process

biofie.com provides the facility of Campus Selection Process to the Company / Employer. The Company / Employer can request for Campus Selection process to be organized at certain Institutions / Colleges for both registered and unregistered colleges under biofie.com.

Registered Institutions / Colleges : Company / Employers can shortlist biofie of the candidates belonging to a particular institution. After doing the first level of shortlist, the company / employer can request for the second / final round of section at the college itself. Once the second / final round Selection request is made to registered Institutions / Colleges at biofie.com, the Institution / College has the option to approve / reject the request. When the Institution / College approves the request, the exchange of email ids is facilitated by biofie.com for both clients. The clients collaborate among themselves for completion of the process.

Unregistered Institutions / Colleges : When a Campus Selection request is made to unregistered Institutions / Colleges, biofie.com takes the request of the Company / Employer to the concerned Institution / College in the offline mode.
