Permitted Use

In the recent past, there have been an increasing number of ‘fake job’ reports wherein fraudsters have reached out to unsuspecting job aspirants and made fake job offers in the name of reputed companies. In all these cases, the sender’s email address is forged as if it is from a reputed company (or Biofie). We request all our users to keep simple, security precautions in mind when evaluating these jobs.

Regrettably, all online companies are susceptible to scams, however Biofie takes every possible step to prevent this kind of abuse.

A few precautions / indicators are as follows:

• If the email/Offer Letter originates from a public or free domain (such as gmail.com or hotmail.com or yahoo.com etc.) and not from authorized company domain, it is fake.
• If it asks prospective job applicants to deposit cash in any form in any bank accounts or payment in some form.
• If the contact person asks for personal details such as bank account, credit card number, personal address, social security/PAN number. Do not trust and share the details.Sometimes to make the offer seem authentic, the email will call for submission of 'qualification documents', 'experience certificate', photographs, etc.
• If the email/ Offer Letter begins with "Dear Sir" or "Dear User", the sender of the email does not know you by name. A legitimate source will address you with a proper salutation, which contains your last name.It will also not be sent as a mass mail.
• If the email/ Offer Letter contains several grammatical errors in the text. This would usually not happen in an email from a legitimate company.
• The interview details will have a proper venue with clear address and exact time given and not a general mail.
• Don't use the links in an email, instant message, or chat to get to any web page if you suspect the message might not be authentic.
• Instead, call the company on the telephone, or log onto the website directly by typing in the Web address in your browser.
• Do not trust the calls from telephone numbers or just the mail ID of the company because these can be generated by unethical means.
• Most of the companies have guidelines for preventing fraud and identifying authentic email / offer letter. We request our users to visit the official corporate website before accepting any offer.
